How to watch Modbro on a TV using Chromecast?

Up to quite recently, Modbro wasn’t compatible with Chromecast, or you would need to pay for the premium version to be able to cast to a TV. The good news is that the new version of the app, available on allows you to cast directly to a TV, without the need to screen mirror your phone screen to a TV. This was the go-to method to cast Mobdro to tv up to now.

Steps to cast Mobdro to TV

  1. Update Mobdro app for android
  2. With the new version installed, look for the casting icon (see picture 1).
  3. Tap the small casting icon
  4. Select the device to cast to (see picture 2)
  5. Select a stream to watch

How to download the latest version of Mobdro on an Android phone?

Using your phone’s browser preferably Chrome, download the latest version APK file, available here. Make sure your Android settings allow you to install apps from other sources than the Play store as explained here. You’ll find the download by tapping the three dots on the top right corner of the screen.

Is it possible to download to iOS (iPhone/iPad)?

For now, Mobdro is only supported by Android devices, such as phones, tablets or tv boxes. It’s also possible to download to an Amazon Fire TV Stick.
